Philip Pescatore

Phil Pescatore joined Guardian Life Insurance Company in September 2018 and currently serves as the Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer. Phil oversees a dedicated team of compliance professionals, ensuring that Guardian and its consumers are protected while upholding the company's commitment to ethical business practices. His focus on enhancing the overall compliance program through new governance, metrics, analytics, and technology has been instrumental in aligning the teams to support business objectives and address emerging risks.

Phil spent over a decade at AXA-Equitable, where he held various roles, including Head of Regulatory Supervision and Chief Risk Officer for its Wealth Management unit. There, he envisioned and developed a centralized supervisory structure, fostering authentic relationships with the sales force and earning several prestigious partnership awards. His journey in compliance and risk management began at Prudential, where he spent 13 years in roles of increasing responsibility, discovering his passion for internal controls and risk management.

Phil holds a BA in Economics from Providence College and an MBA from Fordham University. He is also a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional with the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics and holds several FINRA registrations.

Outside of his professional life, Phil resides in New Jersey with his wife Carolynne and their three children.
